Go Home Day

The big day! My goal is to have you set up for success prior to Go Home Day so all you need to focus on is bonding with your new pup! Appointments are scheduled a half hour apart so it’s important you’re on time. If you’re late or miss your appointment you may be placed at the back of the line to pick your pup.

Here are some things you’ll be going home with aside from your newest family member:

  • AKC Registration (Under certain circumstances, you’ll receive this later. For example, dogs with Foreign Registration can take several months to receive. Normally it’s available on Go Home Day.)

  • Free Month of Health Insurance through Trupanion (Must be activated within 24 hours of Go Home Day)

  • Veterinary Records & Letter To Vet

  • Access to our HERZOG PUPPY FAMILY Private Facebook Group

  • A bag of shavings (this can help some pups with potty training)

Your puppy will already have:

  • 1st shots

  • Deworming/Parasite Treatment

  • Vet Exam & Clean Bill Of Health

  • Extensive Early Socialization

  • Microchip

FAQs

What if I can’t make it on Go Home Day?

Please let me know as soon as possible if there’s a scheduling conflict. You can still pick your pup via FaceTime during your scheduled appointment. If you’re unable to FaceTime I can help choose a pup for you based on what you’re looking for. I’ll hold your pup for up to 1 week at no additional charge. Boarding charges apply after 1 week.

What happens if the pup I want is taken?

I never want anyone to take a pup that isn’t 100% the right fit for them. If the pup you had your heart set on was already picked you can ask to be moved to an available spot in an upcoming litter. I recommend from the time you’ve placed your deposit to also choose a back up litter. This way there’s a spot already saved for you if your first choice litter doesn’t have the right pup for you.
